Cervical cancer is the 9th most common cancer in Singaporean women and can be treated more effectively if detected early. Up to 70 -80% of all cervical cancers are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) which a woman is at risk of once becoming sexually active.
Screening Methods:
The Human papillomavirus (HPV) has been linked to 70%-80% of all cervical cancers. Testing for the presence of HPV is important in the screening process for cervical cancer.
Without doing formal screening for our allergies, we are kept in the dark about what food we should avoid. Statistics reveal that a large number of people are gluten and lactose intolerant, unbeknownst to them. This means that, if we continue to ingest food we are allergic to, our immune systems are working in overdrive to compensate for combating these allergies.
Little by little, they chip away at our immune systems and manifests itself in the form of rashes, indigestion, bad skin and the list goes on.
Minerals are essential for countless metabolic functions in our body. For example magnesium is required for normal muscular function, zinc is involved in the production and secretion of insulin and potassium is crucial for nutrient supply to our cells. As a result, they have a great deal to do with the health of our bodies. By analyzing mineral imbalances in the body, one can learn a lot about the causes and correction of hundreds of common physical and mental health conditions.
