Intralesional steroid Injection

 

WHAT IS IT?

A very diluted corticosteroid solution is directly injected into the cyst or deep rooted pimples. Working as an anti-inflammatory, it shrinks the swollen wall of the cyst causing it to reduce in size over the next few days.

This is an option for you if:

• You’ve had a cystic inflamed pimple for months and it’s not healing.
• Your pimple is a more recent issue but it is large, swollen, and incredibly painful or uncomfortable.
• You’re prone to hyperpigmentation. Reducing inflammation reduces chances of scarring.
• You’ve got an important event coming up (for example, your wedding day) and you’ve just developed a big breakout.
